  • One of the most common problems faced by gardeners is not knowing what to grow in shaded areas. The good news is that a shade garden need not be a dull one, it can be host to many wonderful flowering shrubs and foliage plants. We've put together this lovely collection to brighten dull areas of your garden. Rhododendron Anah Kruschke is wonderful variety flowering with compact clusters of deep crimson purple flowers during May - June and rich green evergreen leaves. Ranunculus have fully double flowers with tightly clustered petals. Each stem produces one to several flowers. They will grow equally well in full sun or partial shade and make wonderful cut flowers. Camellia japonica pink produces spectacular large pink sweetly scented blooms early in the year. The immaculate showy flowers are beyond compare and are complimented by the shiny, waxy, deep green leaves. Astilbes have glorious arching plumes made up of tiny flowers in mid-summer. They are clump-forming perennial plants with deep rich, glossy fern-like foliage which is finely dissected with crinkly-edges.
